The Pope denied a request from the Canadian government and Indigenous peoples to issue an apology for the Catholic Church's role in residential schools. Justin Trudeau said Canada will work towards reconciliation, although you can't count on anything happening since the Catholic Church has been part of abusing countless thousands of children around the world.
