The FBI Director Christopher Wray spoke at the Hudson Institute in Washington and described a massive campaign to disrupt life in the U.S. by The Communist Party of China. "China is engaged in a whole-of-state effort to become the world's only superpower by any means necessary" Christopher Wray raised awareness about the campaign by China to disrupt U.S. Life in a long discussion. This applies to countries around the world, Canada too. Wray said acts of espionage and theft by The Communist Party of China pose the "greatest long term threat" to the future of the U.S., he also said China has been targeting Chinese nationals trying to and in many cases coercing their return. China is also working to compromise US coronavirus research.
"The stakes could not be higher, and the potential economic harm to American businesses and the economy as a whole almost defies calculation" Wray said. "If you think these issues are just an intelligence issue, or a government problem, or a nuisance largely for big corporations who can largely take care of themselves you could not be more wrong. It's the people of the United States who are the victims to what amounts to Chinese theft on a scale so massive it represents one of the largest transfers of wealth in human history."
This is happening around the world as well, China is disrupting life by any means necessary using extortion, racketeering, disinformation campaigns, hacking, fake news, social media platforms, this ties into the goal of artificial intelligence, bribing foreign citizens, influencing global media, education institutions, business, finance, real estate, the list is endless. You can find people spreading propaganda in video games defending the Communist Party of China.
Wray also said "China is engaged in a highly sophisticated malign foreign influence campaign, and it's methods include bribery, blackmail and covert deals."
"As the largest telecommunications manufacturer, Huawei has broad access to much of what U.S. companies do in China. It's also been charged in the United States with racketeering conspiracy, and has as alleged by the indictment repeatedly stolen intellectual property from U.S. companies, obstructed justice and lied to the U.S. Government and it's commercial partners including banks!"
"The privacy and due process protections that are sacrosanct in the United States, are simply non-existent in China. The Chinese government is engaged in broad diverse campaign of theft, and malign influence, and it can execute that campaign with authoritarian efficiency"
